After a long season it’s all coming to an end tomorrow. Footie is the name of the game and we’re in it for the Championship of the Kreisliga C – Staffel 2. The situation really isn’t all that good for us, but we’ve still got hope.

Tomorrow is the last round of the season and the table is looking like this:

1. Dersim Ludwigsburg, 59 points, 83:14 goals
2. FC Marbach II, 58 points, 85:20 goals
3. GSV Hoepfigheim II, 49 points, 73:29 goals
4. …

The first placed team is the champion and directly rises to the next higher league while the second placed team will have to play a relegation game against the last but one of Kreisliga B (the next higher league). So, we’ve got the relegation game secured, but we want to be the champion badly as a relegation game is always 50/50.

The last games scheduled are:

• FC Marbach II (2nd place atm) – Anadolu Marbach (which are in 10th place)
• Dersim Ludwigsburg (1st place atm) – GSV Hoepfigheim (3rd place atm)

So we’ve still got hope as GSV Hoepfigheim is a really hard team to play (we tied both games with them) and they already pledged that they will try everything in there power:

A draw or win of Hoepfigheim along with an own win will clinch the championship. So, wish us luck…you’ll hear from me sometime tomorrow afternight/evening/night…

On the hottest day yet it wasn’t a high-class match, but nontheless really entertaining. After going down 0-1 we were able to come back despite missing a penalty (which would have been the equalizer at that point). In the end our opponents ran out of gas and we were able to capitalize on the extra space…it really could have been a higher victory, but you don’t hear us complain:

We’re now at the top of the table – our main competitor Dersim Ludwigsburg didn’t have a match today, nontheless the pressure is on them now…

Not a good match on the acre they call pitch…but a W is a W…the current leader (Dersim Ludwigsburg) only drew with KSV Besigheim (3-3), so we’re now only 1 point behind them with 5 matches remaining! The championship, which was out of reach two weeks ago, could become a reality after all – but only if we continue to win our matches!!!

…can go up in flames in less than a week. After the recent success in our first match after the winterbreak (12-0 vs Hochdorf) we lost against one of our main competitors (SC Ludwigsburg) 2-3 on saturday. Today we wanted to get back some points against SGV Hoepfigheim II, but we didn’t – instead we lost another two points by playing 1-1.

Now it’s not looking good at all: before the two matches we were only one point behind 1st place and were clear 4 points to 3rd place. Now we’re stuck in 2nd place (but only due to the fact that SC Ludwigsburg still has a game more to play) with the competition back in the game (SC Ludwigsburg did their homework today by winning 6-0) and the first place is out of reach for now (6points)…
